Omega Model 8003 Juicer - White Review

I purchased this juicer at least partially out of curiosity.I've had a Champion 25+ years, an Acme for 20, and Breville, L'Equip and Omega centrifugal juicers.

The problem with these centrifugals is that they are awful for leafy greens.The Champion will do leafy greens okay, but I was interested in higher yield.Plus, I do enjoy a shot of wheatgrass and the Champion won't do it at all.

I looked at both twin-gear and single-auger types.Twin-gear juicers are still being developed, so I ended up single-auger.After watching the TriBest infomercial demonstrated by some babe who acted like she was on cocaine, I went to Omega.My Omega centrifugal works flawlessly.I purchased the 8003 over the 8005 or 8006 because I like white appliances.

The 8003 is heavier than it appears in photos.However, it is quite compact, smaller than my Champion.Assembly is quite simple; the auger housing, auger, screen and end cone fit logically and the locking wheels are able to be operated with wet hands.As stated by another reviewer, the feed tube is not large; if one wants to drop whole pieces of fruit in this isn't the juicer for you. This is by far the quietest juicer I've owned.

No, where this juicer excels is with leafy greens.It will happily chomp its way through any green one wants.Unlike the Champion, stringy greens such as celery won't accidentally get wound around the auger.The trick with this juicer is to let the slow-turning auger feed at its own speed, helped with the pusher.BTW if anyone wants to see this juicer in action, go to YouTube and there are several excellent demos.I can run several carrots at a time through the big-mouth Breville; not on this juicer.However, of course, the Breville won't do leafy greensas this one does!

The downside to a white juicer is that carrots and beets can stain.Doesn't bother me, but if that could be a problem, buy the chrome finish one with black peripherals.

I know there has been a model 8006 introduced recently with an auger that's supposed to be several times harder than the melamine one used here.For ~$125 more, I don't see the benefit.I expect the price on the 8006 will drop when the novelty wears off.

If one wants to juice carrots, apples, and other firm fruit, a centrifugal will probably be the juicer of choice.I still use mine for these.However, if one wants to increase leafy greens in one's diet, one of these will definitely fill the bill.

Cuisinart CJE-1000 1000-Watt 5-Speed Juice Extractor Review

I bought this juicer yesterday and immediately washed it and got down to business.I juiced Carrots and Apples.After I was finished, I took a look at the pulp and I was able to squeeze juice out of the pulp still.

I spoke with the sales rep and he said the Breville juicer plus was better at collecting the juice and extracting more from the pulp.So I went back and exchanged it today.I would say this is an ok juicer, but not the best.

However I'm sure most juicers can't get 100% of the juice out of fruit.This machine functions properly and looks nice.I was just disappointed with the amout of juice that was left behind.

Metrokane Mighty OJ - Manual Citrus Juicer - Chrome Juice Press Review

As juicers go, this one is a winner.You'd be hard "pressed" to find a better model.I'm a little confused by the other reviewers comment about low juice yield, as you'll definitely get a lot more juice than if you use a hand press model.You'll also walk away without completely sticky fingers, which is always nice.

As long as you're using plump and juicy fruit, you'll get great juice from this model.I also like that it's Metrokane, as I've yet to be disappointed by one of their products (and I've had the opportunity to use a few).

Acme Juicerator Juice Extractor Review

Acme was the standard for juicers when we purchased ours 15 years ago. It still does everything -- soft, hard, and green leafy vegetables, fruits, and root vegetables. The pulp from carrot and celery make the base for a great "un-chicken" salad.
The citrus attachment is a worthwhile accesssory for orange and grapefruit juices. It is rock-solid and has never needed any part repaired or replaced.

On the down side, it is heavy, bulky, a bit noisy. The newer juicers appear more ergonomic and boast more features, but I'm not sure if they can lay claim to the durablility of the Acme.

Amco Enameled Aluminum Squeezer, Orange Review

I read the negative review (above); with due respect, I don't agree. I have the lemon and lime models. I have made a kergillion Margaritas with these. I used to use the twist kind that collects juice in a bowl below - these pale next to the Mexican beauties in price and function. With respect to the claim that pulp and juice get caught in the partially folded-over skin; not so. I tested this myself by fully unfolding the skin and squeezing again - only a drop or two remained from the first pass. So I say: when one is enjoying juice, one should lighten up on the obsessive/compulsive notions and just have some fun. Enjoy!

Amco Enameled Aluminum Lime Squeezer, Light Green Review

We have the orange, lemon, and lime squeezers. Ease of squeeze diminishes as size increases and fruit becomes firmer. An older, drier orange would be almost impossible for Hulk Hogan to get a drop out of. A small, juicy lime would be a whiz for an arthritic grandma.

Our objections are, the enamel peels off where the juice contacts it most strongly and repeatedly, so that bits of paint fall in your food preparations; the acid in the juice attacks the bare aluminum and causes pitting; waxy coatings from the fruit which build up on the inside surfaces of the juicers attract dirt and mildew and are virtually impossible to remove; and finally, the pin that holds the pieces together is steel and rusts.

Although these juicers get the juice out, we're now looking for an all stainless steel model with long enough handles so it doesn't take a lot of strength to juice a lemon, and doesn't shed paint and collect crud that can't be removed.

L'Equip 110.5 Mini Pulp Ejector Juicer LEquip WHITE Review

Omega O2 Household Pulp Ejector Juicer Review

When I first received this juicer (I read a lot of reviews and decided this was the best one for a great price) my first reaction was that it was tiny. Whatever! Size isn't everything! This juicer proves it. We juice every morning and this thing works great. The chute is small but it is not a big deal to cut your fruits and veggies. The pulp holder is plenty large. But most importantly it is powerful and creates great juice!

I wouldn't worry about all the reviews that talk about wet pulp being an issue of poor juicing (this goes for all juicers not just this one)... the pulp will always be a little wet but (at least from this juicer) you still get a ton of juice.. so no worries.

Clean up is super easy. We clean up right after we finish juicing so nothing has a chance to dry and get stuck to the parts. I think this makes all the difference. To disassemble and clean probably takes about 5 minutes max.

I have no complaints about this juicer. I just wonder why people buy bigger and more expensive ones.

I have only had the Champion household juicer for about a month now but am using it daily and really like it!We have tried many different fruits and veggie drinks with much success.I usually make juice for the four of us every morning, and my kids love waking up to fresh tasty juices.We also have made sorbets for dessert--yum!My only negative experience so far is that while trying to make almond meal, the motor really heated up and started to smell.The heat from the motor affected the flavor of thesmall amount of almond paste I did create.I haven't tried any other nuts for fear of burning out the motor.If you mainly want great tasting fruit and vegetable juice, I would highly recommend it!

Omega 9000 Juicer Review

The Omega 9000 juicer is a good juicer.

I've had an Acme 6001 for years and it has served me well. When it was time for a new juicer, I bought the Breville since it was such a "hot item".

Big mistake! Unless you want it to "keep up with the Joneses" and think having a big shiny juicer in your kitchen is more about prestige and less about health, then the Breville is for you.

Back to the Omega. The Omega 9000 makes pulp feel like a shirt. It's pretty dry.

Proctor Silex 66332 Juicit Citrus Juicer Review

I don't think you can find a better, easier to use citrus juicer at any price. It's gone up a couple of bucks since I bought mine, but it is still the best deal available without question.

It's fast, stable on the counter, converts to a serving pitcher when you're done juicing, and it's absolutely a cinch to clean up. I can't think of anything Proctor Silex could do to improve this product.

If you're in the market for a citrus juicer (and fresh-squeezed is so far superior to anything you can buy in the grocery store) you can't do better than this one. Buy it.

Kuvings GMPD9010U Combo Blender and Juicer Review

I used this juicer, and the blender, for the first time this morning and I was satisfied with it's performance. I didn't realize how messy juicing could be! However, the machine is VERY easy to assemble/disassemble, and I had no problem just rinsing off the pulp from all the pieces under warm, soapy water. I'm not sure the blender can puree fruits/foods though. So, I wouldn't rely just on this blender, have an extra one somewhere if you're a heavy blender user.

Other than that, I threw together an iced fruit juice using the juice of 2 peeled oranges (supposedly you don't have to peel them, but I chose to), and around three handfuls of champagne grapes. Then I added passion fruit juice, made from concentrate, Ceres pineapple juice, two chopped bananas, and some ice to the blender with the chopping blade. The blade wasn't meant to shave ice, that's for the other blade, but I added the ice at the last minute. There were still tiny chunks of banana (but I like that) and lots of chunks of ice--so the chopping blade did what it was supposed to!

L'Equip 306150 600-Watt Mini Pulp-Ejection Juicer, Gray Review

I spent months researching juicers and surfing veggie themed threads. That research paid off because after owning this juicer for a year, we're still as thrilled as the first day it arrived. I bought it from cooking.com because Amazon wasn't selling it at the time. The price seems to be about the same still.
My wife and I juice everyday and the juicer is sooo easy to clean. Just put a plastic bag in the pulp receptacle and you're good to go. One less item to wash.We use a toothbrush on the blade basket and a regular sponge on the bowl. The blade/basket and bowl are stainless steel.Those infomercial juicers use cheap plastic wherever possible. Trust me, you're only paying for advertising with those TV juicers. This is the real deal. It's quieter than our blender and one large apple, 3 carrots and two oranges yields us two massive glasses of juice. It also has a small foot print.I bought one for my mother and my wife is getting one for her sister.
If you have a large family you might want to skip the mini and go for the regular sized L'Equip but many online reviews say that the mini is actually better for some reason. All I can say is that it is more than enough for a family of four.After a year, the blades are still sharp although not as sharp as new but still going strong. If you're looking for THE BEST JUICER for less than 100 bucks this is it!!

Chef'n FreshForce Citrus Juicer, Lime Review

This Chef'n Juicer is the best Juicer I've owned.

I enjoy my Gin (Sapphire) and Tonics and like to press 1/2 lime into a drink (Fever-Tree Tonic Water highly recommended too), as well as fresh lime juice in a margarita.I put my presses to the test!

I've have owned a bunch of the green or yellow single hinged juicers which have served well but don't last very long, either pop a rivet or the hinge breaks.They also gum up with repeated use and are difficult to clean (I think maybe the wax on the fruit??).

This juicer uses a mechanical advantage for pressing which requires much less pressure and gets most juice in one press.

The press surfaces are also more durable and easier to clean.

Own this juicer and you will not be happy using the old style.

Only con I might list is it only comes in one size (big emough for a good sized lemon) but even with the smaller limes I get a good press.

Toastmaster 1109 Citrus Juicer Review

well-designed, lots of little thoughts you would not have guessed would appear in an appliance: a place to wrap the cord underneath, a nook to hold the cord tight so it doesn't unravel, the beautiful curves of the shape, itself, easily cleanable, strong motor, flexible plastic. and then there is the price.
the only things they could have done better on this little package are:
1) the little rubber feet tend to pop out while juicing. (that's okay, they don't do much anyway. makes it easy to clean that area, anyway :P )
2) even with the little rubber feet (which are shaped like suction cups on the bottom), the juicer still slips around on my counter while juicing. (juicing can get messy if you do a lot, and after a while, you've got juice on the counter, and then even with the rubber suction feet, juicer still slips around).sometimes i put it on my large cutting board to stop from slipping/rotating while juicing.
alternatively, it might be nice if there were a way to select that you want the grinder motor to turn only in one direction or the other (instead of both, which it does randomly: this is a nice feature, but would be nice to turn it off, so you could bolster the handle up against something else (like microwave oven, etc.) so that juicer would not slip on counter. but if the motor turns in opposite direction every other time, you can't do this becuase juicer will slip and turn in the other direction.
overall the best quality-to-price value ratio i've seen in an appliance in years. i thought when i bought it, "oh, heck, for the money i paid for it, if it breaks, i can just replace it wtih a new one," thinking something that cheap would break within a few months. it's been over a year, and still going strong..

Good4U Stainless Steel Manual Wheatgrass Juicer BL-27B Matte Review

It takes a day or two to get used to, but this really is a well made manual juicer that's designed to last a lifetime. It only takes a couple of minutes to juice up a dixe cup (3 oz.) of wheatgrass. After two weeks of using this product I can honestly say that it's easy to use and clean and the wheatgrass-just three oz. a day is a real energizer and revitalizer. If you grow your own wheatgrass, you can drink this wonderful juice for just pennies a day. There are a few limitations. First the handle does not securely lock on and can inadvertantly fall off if not left in the down possition. It's pretty much limited to standard thickness counter tops and the rubber base gasket has a tendancy to decouple from it's fitting on the securing screw (easy to refit, but could potentially get lost). This juicer is probably not suited for large family use where a single individual is going to do the cranking. That said it's a good idea to educate yourself on the benefits of wheatgrass as well. I recommend, "Wheatgrass Natures Best Medicine" for anyone who wishes a reasonable understanding of the theraputic applications and uses of wheatgrass.
For large families or elderly individuals who may have muscular limitations I would recommend one of the electric wheatgrass juicers (be sure it's a wheatgrass juicer-regular juicers wont work with wheatgrass. Keep in mind that most wheatgrass juicers end up with an electric wheatgrass juicer-it just makes sense for the majority of situations, however if the power ever goes out? Norpro 5207 Glass Citrus Juicer Review

The Norpro 5207 Glass Citrus Juicer arrived damaged, with 2 cracks at either side of the pouring lip. The company who sold me the Norpro 5207 Glass Citrus Juicer, i.e., BicSuperStore, took several days, with reminders from me, to get back to me about this damaged item.
However, when their customer service did get back to me, they couldn't seem to understand my request; which I'm copying and pasting our email interaction [below], so you can se how ridiculous it was.
I said:"I'm assuming that it's very unlikely that it would arrive damaged again, i.e., with cracks in it, the second time. Therefore, if you could reship it, that would be great."
To which the customer service Rep at BicSuperStore said: "just to clarify you are replying that you want us to reship it. In your email you say it is unlikely to get it undamaged. please clarify"
Then I replied: "I'm sorry for the misunderstanding; but what I said was that it's unlikely to come damaged this time [that you re-send it]."
In other words, I apologized for the customer service Rep's total misunderstanding of what I said, just to keep the peace and to get the replacement item.
BUT I also found that the Norpro 5207 Glass Citrus Juicer is NOT appropriate for large lemons, i.e., the cone is too small.
Therefore, next time, I will buy a larger [and more expensive] glass citrus juicer.
So, in the description of this item, it should say that it's only appropriate for juicing small lemons.
To sum up, both disappointing customer service AND a disappointing product.But next time I will buy the more expensive version of the citrus glass juicer, with a larger cone.I got what I paid for by going with the cheaper version, unfortunately.
Lesson learned.

I've owned this juicer for 8 years, and have never had a problem.Of course, I only juice apples, oranges, carrots, grapefruit, ginger, and beets, so I do not know how stuff like spinach, broccoli, wheatgrass, and the sort turn out.Clean-up involves brushing off 5 parts, which takes about one minute.Just buy a nylon bristle brush, make sure to use only warm water (never hot so as not to mis-shape the pieces), and clean immediately after use.To give you an idea of how economical this machine is, and juicing in general: yesterday, i bought an 18 pound bag of Texas Rio Red grapefruit for $6.There were 21 grapefruit, large and very juicy.I used 4 this morning to make three large beer mug-size glasses.That is 29 cents times 4, for a total of $1.20, approximately.$1.20 divided by 3 glasses is 40 cents.Very good compared to $3 or $4 at a juice shop, where they are normally adding apple juice from concentrate or ice.I just hope mine goes 27 years like the other reviewer's.

I got this juicer from Kohl's on sale for 38.00.I was looking to buy a nicer one but they range anywhere from 100 on up.First impressions were a sturdy construction and nice design. The 450 watt motor should be sufficient enough to handle most fruits an vegetables.Upon using it for the first time, it wasn't too loud.It juiced well however, the pulp was still a little wet.It wasn't surprising considering it isn't a highly reviewed juicer.Cleaning was a breeze, it only had a few parts to clean and they were easy.Overall, it was a decent juicer however I would rather have one with a stronger motor and extracted more juice.

I am a huge juicer.Every morning my wife and I juice.We noticed that our juiceman jr was not efficiently juicing our green vegies.It was wasting 90% of them. The green veggies (expensive I might add) went right into the plastic bin hardly touched. I went to Jamba Juice and they explained how an auger presses the green juices - and, that's what Jamba uses for their wheat grass....well,the rest is history.I did my homework and found out that augers are more efficient just like Jamba explained. And, kitchens best walked me through the entire thing.Plus, they offered a 90 day money back warranty.They are incredibly nice and I can't believe they offer that kind of awesome money back gaurantee.Anyway, they are RIGHT about the juicer - it absolutely presses out 95% more green juice than the Jack Lalane and Juice man Jr. styles..and it does a better job on apples, ginger, and everything else too.The ONLY down side is - it's a slower process. Juice Extractor - Complete Review

This was my first juicer, so I have no basis for comparison except what the manufacturer claims. You cannot juice wheatgrass with this, that is a blatant lie. you will get so much more foam than juice you will wish that you had driven to a juice bar and paid for them to do it, plus now you have to clean it again.

It juices things like carrots, jicama, green leaves and celery very well. The tougher and harder the veggie, the better this thing is. It absolutely cannot juice things like citrus, tomatoes, and even most apples will cause it to clog up quickly. It is so so at juicing cucumber. It is recommended that if you need to juice apples or cukes, switch off with a piece of carrot to push it all through.

I tried making almond butter several times, and it comes out looking like bread crumbs. I ran it through a bunch of times, and eventually it resembled almond "dough", cetrainly nothing creamy that could be called "almond butter" by any definition.

Cleaning it seems like a chore. I believe there are six pieces you can simply rinse off, and then there is the screen which you must scrub with the included brush. This is a total pain, and if you need to replace the brush or any other parts, they are very pricey. Oh and this machine weighs like 30 pounds!

My intent is not to bring anyone down with a lot of negativity, it's just that this was my experience and the reviews I have read didn't really paint the whole picture.

i too bought this on the lightning deal, and yes the chute is small, andif your not quick w the pusher, you will have juice and even whole pieces of fruit fly out.
what i like about it is it cleans up fast, and the juice is good. other juicers i have used were way more expensive andtook way to long to clean,
if you read the directions, it clearly states fruit and veggies must be cut(you do not have to peel citrus as one person said) to size, this is a personal juicer, not really good for serving 2 or more people, i have used it every day, i drink the juice, then clean all parts, and for the money, i am satified.
and in truth, it is worth 109$,just understand, juicing is amessy, multistep process, so be prepared to spend 10-20 minutes to make your juice and clean your mess.
thismachine works really well with
beet, carrots, lemons, limes, apples and pears, i have found it to work better with more firm fruits, and the booklet tells you it does not work well with leafy items.
as always doyou research, and if you find a faster, easier to clean, cheaper juicer w stainless steal blades, by all means, let us know.

L Equip XL Wide Mouth Mini Juicer, Model 215 Review

Just after I ordered Jack LaLane's Express juicer, I came upon the L'Equip.After reading the specs on the L'Equip, I hoped for the best with Jack LaLane's Express.: /

I've had several juicers over the years and the Express was actually a pretty nice machine.However it only worked for about a month.Customer Service was hard to run down but finally I was able to return it. Did I say I had to pay an extra $15 for only a 3 year warranty?That says a lot about the lack of confidence they had in their own product.

The L'Equip comes with a 6 year warranty - for free.

It's also slightly louder than the Express but not terribly so, but the motor is much stronger than the Express and has a higher RPM.

The design is very much like the Juiceman Jr. except it has a wide feeder chute.However "wide feeder chute" is a misnomer because there's a wedge within the chute.Well obviously this defeats the purpose of having a wide chute to begin with since there's a wedge inside, but apparently the purpose of the wedge it to keep the produce from spinning around inside the chute.

The high rpm occasionally results in produce being rapidly and violently being bounced back out of the chute but you adjust to that after a bit.

The wedge inside the L'Equip is pretty much the only thing I dislike about this machine though. I enjoyed the wide chute on the Express and it made juicing quite fast, but you have to take an extra step of cutting to accommodate the wedge inside the L'Equip.

It cleans well but you should remember to lift the bowl and pour out the little bit of extra juice that's left over when you're finished juicing.

I like mine and use it regularly but all machines take some time to adjust to and overall in my opinion, this machine beats the Juiceman Jr and the Express.

Tribest SoloStar II Multi-Purpose Juicer for Wheatgrass and more Review

Drawbacks
My SoloStar II has been plagued by problems. In less than a year, many of the outer parts have broken. The juicing screen ($35.00) has broken three times. When the juicing screens break, it happens before the pulp container is even full. As a result, the auger and juicing screen need to be cleaned constantly within a session. The screen locking cap ($5.80) has also broken. Speaking of the auger, even that cracked ($35.00). Several times, I e-mailed customer service about such issues with no reply. When I called, Tribest Life promptly sent out free replacement parts.

Benefits
When the parts aren't breaking, the SoloStar II works very well. It's simple to assembly and operate. The actual extraction process seems efficient. Cleaning is a breeze since most of the parts rinse under the sink. The only cleaning challenge is the juicing screen. Along these lines, the modified toothbrush that comes with the unit is worthless. I now use a steel auto detailing brush that does a great job. The SoloStar II is visually pleasing and the unit operates at a good volume. I was inspired to purchase the juicer after watching the online video as hosted on the Tribest Life web page. It accompanies the juicer in VHS format. Being a first time juicer, this was extremely helpful.

In conclusion, there are benefits and drawbacks to the SoloStar II. While it may have been a good introduction to the juicing world, I definitely look forward to an upgrade. Talking to juicers (people who juice, not the machines;), it seems that you really need to spend around $350.00-$400.00 before getting a quality juicer. Should you decide to purchase the SoloStar II, make certain that you send in the warranty/registration card. That was essential in getting parts replaced at no charge.

This mid-sized Orange-X juicer is a well designed heavy duty juicer that should last a lifetime.It is easy to use and clean and it is powerful enough to be used both commercially and at home.

Some may quibble over whether one juicer is better for oranges or lemons.From reading reviews, one that may be a little better for lemons, or grapefruit probably doesn't do as well with oranges etc due to only one strainer cup size being available. This very heavy duty juicer did a great job for me with lemons, oranges, and small grapefruit.It seems to be optimized for oranges though.However, I use it primarily for lemons and have had no problems except a very tiny bit of the lemon left on the side.I feel the claims about it not working well with lemons are grossly exaggerated and inaccurate.

This juicer has a stainless steel juicing strainer and cup, so the health conscious have no need to worry about aluminum being leached into the acidic juice.

Contrary to what one reviewer said, you cannot hurt your fingers using this juicer as long as you put your hand on the rubber handle (it is hard to use otherwise).The handle has a nice well calibrated stoper at the bottom that keeps you from damaging the unit by over extending when pushing down and still squeezes all the juice out well.The lower push range offers superior leverage over the juicers that have a spring and leave the handle up as you start and end from a higher position with them.(However, either way, it is not going to be hard to juice with this or other heavy duty juicers such as the Hamilton Beach regardless of handle position).

The only thing I don't like about this juicer is that if you leave the handle up and try to move it, the heavy handle will fall easily and it could hit you on the head or face if you are bending over or short.It is particularly easy to have the handle fall since the suction cup feet make it a little difficult to move around and you have to pull and yank on it a bit to get it to move.I bought some standard 4mm screw on bolts and some nice non-marking rubber feet called bumpers (screw, rubber) at Ace hardware for a few dollars that fit perfect into the holes for the screw off suction cups that came with the juicer. My guess is the suction feet were meant primarily to help in a commercial environment where you always kept the juicer in the exact same position and didn't pull the juicer out then push it back on the counter when done like you might do at home.The juicer is so heavy, that even with these new non-suction non-marking rubber feet it doesn't move at all during routine juicing.

Overall, this is a very heavy duty well made and designed juicer and I recommend it for home or commercial use (it is still quit large though called mid-sized).If it were not for the annoying rubber suction cup feet that it came with (and I easily replaced) I would have given it a five star rating.See my full review and explanations under this same mid-sized Orange-X juicer thatAmazon itself sends out.

This stainless steel juicer should have been called a blemished stainless steel juicer. Grinder marks and imperfections abound on the surface of this product. If you're looking for a shining, pristine, stainless steel item to proudly display on your bar, this is not it. This product is incredibly over-priced considering the shoddy workmanship. Don't get me wrong, it works, but it's an eyesore.

UPDATE 3/19/2010:This unit has been out for awhile now, and the complaints are rising steadily, not only here at Amazon, but other sites as well.QVC lowered their price and negative reviews are appearing there as well.The complaints, that surface either immediately or within 6 months are:Leaking containers, motors that burn out emitting an electrical odor that sometimes will trip your circuit breakers, container lid is hard to remove and put back on, terrible customer service (from the healthmaster site and not amazon), and now, a poster said that the container is not safe to use because of the plastic, and will emit chemicals into your food! Please, do your research before purchasing this machine. There is even a video on the Vitamix website of a woman who went to her local TV station for help with getting her money back from healthmaster it showed how it took a very strong person to remove the lid, and the motor was fried!The TV station reporter was shown on hold for 20 minutes!

MY ORIGINAL REVIEW :This unit is a Jack La Lanne Healthmaster, redesigned with a new digital display, and costs more.I owned the Jack La Lanne, and within 6 months, the bearings stripped, and a rust color was dripping from the container, with the food being tainted by rust on the blades.I threw it out and bought a Vitamix.The same problems are beginning to surface with this machine problems develop either immediately or within 3 to 6 months of use.A neighbor, who loves Montel, and ignored my warnings, bought this machine through the healthmaster website.Within 3 days, the motor burnt out.It took several weeks to get a replacement.Upon receiving the replacement, the motor burnt out again.She returned the unit for a refund, and has yet to receive it. She paid for the extra warranty, and HM did not pay for the shipping to return it (the warranty is bogus, if you read the fine print, the warranty can be voided), YOU have to pay for it. This machine does what it is supposed to do, it makes good smoothies, but simply isn't powerful enough and cannot handle the strain.Other reviews on other sites state the same thing.The infomercial, has the same woman that was on the infomercial for jack la lanne.If you must, buy it here, the return policy is much better, however I recommend that you spend a few extra bucks and get a Vitamix, which I have had for several years now with absolutely no problems, and has a automatic 7 year guarantee,excellent customer service, and they pay for shipping.You get what you pay for.Give yourself, or your loved ones, a better machine than this, especially for xmas.

I bought this model of juicer after manually juicing tons of citrus from my dad's farm. I chose this model for it's attractiveness since I knew it would be left out on my countertop. It is simple to use and convenient and looks nice. It is fairly loud, however, and the spout where the juice comes out gets clogged occasionally and has to be unplugged. It can sometimes be unclogged by simply clicking the spout up and down. The spout can be pushed up to lock it closed and prevent the juice from coming out until you put a container under it. It comes apart very easily and is easy to wash. The only other thing I would say is that the spout could be a little higher so that you can fit taller containers underneath it. It sure beats the hassle I had been going through manually juicing and is way faster!

Chef'n FreshForce Citrus Juicer, Lemon Review

I made key lime pie and with this juicer I was able to make the whole pie with the juice from just 1 and a half limes instead of 3! I was amazed!

This is a high quality kitchen implement made with heavy duty plastic. I was able to juice the limes with minimal pressure since the juicer's construction does most of the work.

I don't understand how the previous reviewer had a problem with this product. I was really impressed and thought it was an excellent way to spend $20. (Purchased it from a kitchen store, not Amazon.) I intend to put it to frequent use.

Weston Cast Iron Wheat Grass Juicer Review

It's a good juicer. It's heavy, but it's cast iron so it's expected. I use it in my dorm for wheatgrass that I grow and it's great. Just make sure you wash it immediately, you wouldn't want it to get rusty, right?

All the parts work well. It even has an attachable rubber "foot" so you don't scratch things or maybe it's for better grip. I'm a 19 year old girl and I can crank it just fine.

It's not beautiful but it gets the job done. :)

I'm going to try apples and celery and other fruits and veggies sometime.
