Bena Casa Professional Hand Citrus Press (Model # 43914) Review

My wife purchased this Juicer for me for Christmas. The Worthless company sent a completely different item than the one ordered.So, about two days after Christmas, we sent an e-mail to the company explaining what had happened, and asking for instructions on how and where to return the incorrect item. That was about 2 weeks ago, and as of yet, there has been no, repeat "NO", response from the company. None, zilch, nada. We will probably send another request, with copies to our attorney and to our states consumer affairs office and to the companies state office and, of course, the Better Business Bureau.

Dalla Piazza Citrus Squeezer Review

This is a particularly good citrus squeezer, very well made and attractive. It really gets the juice out! It works on limes, lemons, oranges. It doesn't come with instructions. Cut your citrus in half and place it cut side down (the opposite of what you'd think) so that the squeezer can turn the rind inside out. Enjoy!

Metrokane Mighty OJ Manual Juicer, Chrome Review

I have had this juicer for a year now, and have not experienced any of the problems noted in the other reviews. We may use it 4 times a week for several weeks, or only on weekends for a month. It looks good, is sturdy, and is easy to clean. Place the orange or whatever in the holder, slowly press down on the paddle style handle, and its juice galore. For larger fruits or bigger oranges, lift the handle up, reposition the fruit carcass a little, one more squeeze and Bobs-your-uncle. We like the machine just fine.

Chef'n FreshForce Citrus Juicer, Lime Review

This Chef'n Juicer is the best Juicer I've owned.

I enjoy my Gin (Sapphire) and Tonics and like to press 1/2 lime into a drink (Fever-Tree Tonic Water highly recommended too), as well as fresh lime juice in a margarita.I put my presses to the test!

I've have owned a bunch of the green or yellow single hinged juicers which have served well but don't last very long, either pop a rivet or the hinge breaks.They also gum up with repeated use and are difficult to clean (I think maybe the wax on the fruit??).

This juicer uses a mechanical advantage for pressing which requires much less pressure and gets most juice in one press.

The press surfaces are also more durable and easier to clean.

Own this juicer and you will not be happy using the old style.

Only con I might list is it only comes in one size (big emough for a good sized lemon) but even with the smaller limes I get a good press.

Stainless Steel Citrus Juicer - 5" D Review

This stainless steel juicer should have been called a blemished stainless steel juicer. Grinder marks and imperfections abound on the surface of this product. If you're looking for a shining, pristine, stainless steel item to proudly display on your bar, this is not it. This product is incredibly over-priced considering the shoddy workmanship. Don't get me wrong, it works, but it's an eyesore.

Norpro Stainless-Steel Citrus Juice Press Review

I had bought one of the cast aluminum citrus press a week before and broke it after one day.As I use it mostly for limes and lemons I didn't want a stand type press because it took up too much kitchen counter real estate.So I did a search on the net and came across this one.

First it's stainless steel and built tough,very heavy duty.second it's got a 3" bowl, large enough for the large limes and lemons, but I'm afraid that it's too small for most oranges sold in supermarkets.

I feel that the design could be improved with another roll of holes in the bottom of the press, but other than that it's the best I've come across.Since I've received it, I've had a chance to look in several specialty cooking stores and haven't found one comparable.

****Update, it's now 8/15/07.I use the press almost every day (my favorite drink is 2 packets of splenda, one fresh lime and a quart of carbonated water over ice).The press is in the same shape it when I bought it.No deformation of the handles (I'm a big guy 6'6" and 325 lbs and I've really squeezed the handles hard), after a pass through the dishwasher it shines like new.

****Update it's now 11/18/2009.Still using it just about every day and it still looks and works like new.
