GOURMET QUICK CHOPPER WITH 4 BONUS ATTACHMENTS Review

Usually I don't write reviews but this product deserves one.When I saw it out of the package I thought it looks kind of weak for the job it claims to do, but I want to give it a try and disregard the comments a friend told me a long time ago: "don't by anything you see on those infomercials "as seen on tv" they are just piece of junk".Well I tried first with a potato, I sliced a piece with a knife to fix inside the plastic enclosed base (which is a little bit small), gave the fist tap, and the plunger didn't come out, it got stuck with the potato, so I tried to remove the potato and it was very difficult, so I tried to pull out the plunger instead, and the plunger came out so I had the chopper with the stuck potato on one hand and the plunger in the other.I thought probably it was my fault I putted so much stress to the poor chopper with that hard potato (by the way the potato was peeled and enclosed in the plastic fixture), so I decided to try now with parsley, again chop the parsley with a KNIFE to small piece to fix inside the device, the result, the parsley wasn't chopped at all, just smashed.Again, it has to be my fault, parsley it's too tough for the poor thing, to many fiber in there.Finally, let's use it on an onion as advertised in the commercials. Result: it worked on the onion but not as I expected, it certainly chopped the onion but most of the time you have to check the final result for big pieces which got stuck between the metal, come on!!! I do a more efficient job with a knife. I don't want to know the results on a tomato, probably smashed tomato, since tomatoes have a skin resistant to be cut and an weak interior.
Conclusion:Save your money an invest on a good chef knife and a protective glove and you will be more efficient chopping vegetables, I have those before buying this piece of junk and I'm using them again.

Mighty Juicer Review

I bought this on sale at crate and barrel a month ago so that my kids could make their own OJ. My 5 year old loves it and makes juice for the whole family 3 times per week. We use clementines, blood oranges and small juicing oranges and it appears to be plenty strong and sturdy. The juice is mighty sweet and delicious, after reading other reviews we happily avoid those big fibrous oranges. It's perfect for our family needs.

Waring Pro JEX328PK 400-Watt Juice Extractor, Pink Review

I've had this juicer for about six months and I like it. Love the pink color with the stainless. It's very easy to take apart and clean. There are a couple of issues - the filter is very hard to clean - little strings get caught in the tiny hole and it takes some patience to get them clean with the little brush. The reservoir for the fruit/veg bits it small and gets filled up fast. You just need to clear it out if you use more than five or six whole fruit (I used apples and carrots). Otherwise it's a great juicer and goes very well with my pink kitchen.

Mighty OJ Juicer - Chrome by Metrokane Review

I have owned two of these machines. I am not a large person, but the pressure I was able to exert to press out the orange juice simply overwhelmed the gears on this manual machine, even though the gears are metal; in both instances, the gear was stripped, the second time in well under a year.At $50 a whack, you are better off with a cheap electronic juicer.

Black & Decker CJ630 32-Ounce Electric Citrus Juicer Review

This is a nice juicer with a quality feel to it. Here is what I like about it, and where I see room for minor improvement:

The Good:
- Very easy to assemble, and more importantly very easy to clean. I just briefly rinse after use and then put the parts in the top dishwasher rack (minus the part housing the motor, of course).
- Operation is clean, i.e. no juice hits the counter top, everything goes inside the pitcher.
- I especially like the two cone sizes: The smaller one is for lemons and limes, the larger which goes on top of the smaller cone when needed, for grapefruits and oranges.
- The smaller cone (which is always in) also features two plastic "blades" (called stirrers in the manual) at the bottom edge which rotate with the cone and help that juice and, if so desired, pulp actually make it into the pitcher through the strainer openings. One of the pet peeves I always had about manual juicers was the fact that the strainer got clogged with pulp and seeds so that the juice sat on top and didn't flow through. Having these stirrers there moves pulp and seeds around so that the juice can get through and the openings don't get clogged. But see note below when processing a larger number of fruits...
- The reverse rotation feature is also useful in that I feel that more juice gets extraced from the fruit than if it would always just rotate in one direction. The fruit halves look really squeezed out.
- Pitcher has a good capacity (32 oz). Works just as well for several large fruits as it does when one only has one single lemon - not too big, not too small.

Don't Like So Much:
- The electrical cord is rather short, so one can't operate this too far away from an outlet.
- The auto-reverse sometimes kicks in and sometimes doesn't, and since there is no button to auto-reverse, it sometimes requires several tries.
- When squeezing a lemon on the max pulp setting, quite a few of the baby seeds also get through. Since I like as much pulp as I can get in my juices, this is either something I have to live with or I reduce the pulp setting to ensure that I don't have the little seeds floating in my juice.
- When squeezing larger fruits like oranges, a lot of the pulp tends to eventually collect on top of the strainer despite the stirrers (it just doesn't fit through the small strainer openings). So I end up having to periodically scoop it out when processing a larger number of fruits to avoid solid covering of the strainer.

Summary:
This is a useful appliance for normal household usage. I don't think, however, I would use it if I had large amounts of juice to make but for the occasional pitcher, this is perfect. At the price this is offered here, there is really nothing to think about: Get it and enjoy your lemonades or orange juices.

Better Chef IM550V Juicer Review

I've just finished drinking my first glass of carrot juice made with this juicer.I couldn't be more satisfied.

First of all it's very easy to assemble, disassemble and wash.I've had two other "under $50" juicers and have had trouble getting the stainless steel baskets in and out and remembering what order to assemble it - with this one it was a breeze.

Carrots are one of the harder textured food to juice.This machine was so quick and powerful I couldn't believe it, it took seconds!!!!I can't attest to whether it will continue to work, but for function and ease of use you can't beat it.It also does a good job of extracting all the juice out - the pulp was very dry.

Would recommend it if it were five times the price - I've never seen a juicer so inexpensive.This is the machine to buy if you've considered juicing, but were hesitant to invest the money.Also, makes a great additional juicer.

I was a little concerned about how this juicer would measure up to our stronger wattage one which was heavy to lift down from an upper cupboard, the pitcher was way too large, and the pitcher handle had broken off.I like the compact size of this model, and it has NO problem efficiently juicing oranges for OJ or lemons for recipes that require juice. I only have an electric juicer because my wrists are sensitive (everyone who uses a keyboard too much should avoid the repetitive movements required with an old-fashioned glass juicer). Black & Decker CJ625 30-Watt 34-Ounce Citrus Juicer Review

I have gone nuts for homemade lemonade. The first batch was made with a manual juicer from half of a 5-lb bag of lemons. I then decided to buy an inexpensive electric juicer, which I used to juice the other half of my lemons. Voila--more juice from the same number of lemons! It will take a while to see any real savings on lemons, but meanwhile the lemonade is fantastic. This machine cleans easily, works well, keeps the seeds out of the juice, and can be adjusted for a little or a lot of pulp in the juice. I didn't try stopping all the pulp, so I can't comment on that. This CJ625 is worth what it costs. Also, the motor kept on working without complaint after 12 half-lemons. I have no complaints either.

Tribest Citrus Juicer Review

I usually like to 'live' with a product for awhile before posting any sort of review.We've been using our Tribest Citrus Juicer for about 3 months now.There really is not much to say other than it does exactly what I expected a citrus juicer to do... it reams citrus fruits very fast, very efficiently, very safe and easy to use, a really powerful motor, simple quick clean-up and it looks good.Excellent plastics materials used in construction and its a simple, smart design.It might be a little more expensive than many of the other citrus juicers currently in the marketplace but you can be sure you won't be disappointed.When searching for a citrus juicer I read quite a few reviews and it seems weak motors were the biggest single complaint with most of these electric citrus juicers. However I gathered from the reviews about this Tribest Citrus Juicer that a weak motor would definitely NOT be an issue and then when I considered the relatively small price difference for a juicer with a more powerful and reliable motor it really was a no-brainer decision for me. So today, after 3 months of everyday use (sometimes twice a day) squeezing 4-5 oranges and a grapefruit at a time (enough juice for two) I can comfortably come forward and recommend this juicer as a durable, quality kitchen appliance that looks good enough to leave out on the counter and you wouldn't mind using it everyday.

This juicer is awesome.It is light and small in size which makes it not only easy to store but makes me willing use it all the time - no dread of lugging out some huge, heavy contraption.I live in South Florida and have a yard full of grapefruit, orange and key lime trees - this juicer does them all like a champ.With the two sizes of the juicing cone, one juicer takes care of all of my citrus.The strainer pops apart very easily and is a snap to clean with running water alone!You do not need to apply much pressure when using the juicer which allows you to juice many fruit in a row since your arm doesn't get tired.I love the adjustable pulp strainer - my husband likes lots of pulp, I like a little, and some friends just like the juice alone - no problem with this little workhorse.I also love that it gets all the juice out of the fruit - the fruit is dry after going on top of this machine!The juice flows right into the pitcher which makes it perfect for pouring right into your glass or into any other container - pitchers, plastic zip top bags, etc.I had looked and looked for a good juicer and most were expensive, bulky, hard to clean, etc. but not this great machine.I was skeptical since it is so cheap, but thought, "Well, what do I have to lose since I'm not spending much on it?" - now I'm in love with it.I'm such a fan that I just bought a second one to take to our vacation house!
